Making a Travel Request - Overview

  • To make a travel request with Hope Air, complete our online application form at hopeair.ca/travelrequest  

  • If you are unable to complete your request online or need assistance with the online application, your travel request can be completed over the phone by calling us at 1-877-346-HOPE (4673).  

  • Travel requests made over the phone are processed through the same online application form and follow the same process and review procedures as online applications. Travel requests made over the phone do not receive faster processing than online applications. 

  • You should make a travel request as soon as you have a confirmed medical appointment. Early submission ensures timely processing and confirmation of your travel arrangements. If you have previously travelled with Hope Air, you still need to submit a new application for subsequent requests

  • Required information includes your appointment details, doctor’s contact information, traveler details as listed on government-issued photo ID, travel dates, and household income information. Click on the below article on information required to make a travel request to find out more.
  • Submit your request at least two business days in advance of your appointment. If your appointment changes or is canceled, notify Hope Air immediately. If you have any special needs, such as oxygen or have mobility aids or other assistive devices, inform Hope Air when making your request. Note Hope Air does not arrange or pay fees for seat selection and checked luggage.
  • Processing times vary, but you will receive updates via email. If your appointment is approaching and you haven't received travel details, contact Hope Air to check your application status and consider having a backup plan.
