Application Process

Hope Air requires a minimum of two business days' notice to process all travel requests. Please submit your request as soon as possible to allow sufficient time for processing. If your appointment has been changed or canceled, please contact Hope Air immediately at info@hopeair.ca or 1-877-346-HOPE (4673).

  1. Upon submitting your application, you will receive an automated email confirming receipt of your travel request. This email includes a unique Travel Request ID number that is important to take note of for future communication with Hope Air.
  2. Hope Air will review your application and may contact you if required to confirm details of your request. Hope Air aims to review your request within one week of the date of submission. Stat holidays and missing information will delay the review of your request.
  3. Hope Air will contact you via email to confirm your eligibility and application approval status.   
  4. Once approved, Hope Air will then confirm your medical appointment with the facility. If you have a letter confirming your appointment and you did not submit this with your application, please send this info@hopeair.ca with reference to your Travel Request ID number
  5. Once your appointment is confirmed, we will book your travel arrangements and send you the details via email. If you have requested more than one travel support (i.e. flights, accommodation or Prince Edward Island Bridge or Ferry passes) expect to receive more than one email confirming your travel itinerary.

Travel requests are processed in priority order of travel dates. For travel requests submitted early, expect to receive your travel itinerary no less than one week prior to your travel date.

Hope Air will not process travel requests with incomplete or missing information.  Which includes hospital discharge dates or a medical confirmation for travel escorts.

  • If you requested and require an escort for medical reasons, we need a note from either your family doctor or the specialist you are visiting confirming this necessity. This note may be emailed to info@hopeair.ca or faxed to 416-222-6930. 
  • If you have been discharged after a hospital stay, Hope Air requires a note from the hospital confirming that you are fit to fly. This note can be emailed to info@hopeair.caor faxed to 416-222-6930.
